HCL Enterprise is an Indian company working in the sector of IT services and consulting company which has its headquarters located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The company was founded by Shiv Nadar on 11th August 1976. The current chairperson of the company is Roshni Nadar Malhotra and C Vijaykumar is the current Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company as well. HCL stands for Hindustan Computers Limited.

The company currently operates across many sectors in the company which includes automotive, banking, capital markets, healthcare, and other sectors as well. The company over the years has acquired many companies and also made its own subsidiaries. The first of the few subsidiaries of the company was– 

  • HCL Technologies – in the beginning, it was known as HCL R&D’s Division, but it became its subsidiary in the year, 1991.
  • HCL Healthcare
  • HCL Infosystems

The company has acquired many companies over the course of its history. The last company acquired by HCL was Starschema for the price tag amounting to 42,500,000 Million Dollars. The company acquired has its origin in Hungary and the headquarters were in the United States which was acquired on 14th January 2022.

The last Indian company acquired by HCL Technologies was Sankalp Semiconductors for Rs. 180 Crores and this acquisition was done on 09th September 2019. The company is spread over 50 countries all over the world which include the UK, US, France, and has a worldwide Research & Development team that employs over 1,87,000 employees and the customer company includes from Fortune 500 in which 250 companies and there are companies which include 650 of the Global 2,000 companies.

The company got listed on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange on 10th November 1999 with the stock value of each share amounting to Rs. 4.

The company in the past few years has been earning good revenue and profits over the years. The revenue of the company has increased from 2019 to 2020 by Rs. 10,249 crores which are about 16.96% more as compared to 2019 and in the year 2021.

It saw a rise as compared to 2020 by Rs. 4,703 Crores which is 6.65% but in the terms of percentage increase of revenue of the company, it is lower in 2021 as compared to 2020. As far as the net profits of the company are concerned, the net profits have increased in 2020 from 2019 by Rs. 937 crores which is 9.25% more than 2019, and in 2021 the net profits increased by Rs. 112 crores which are 1.01% more than 2020.

Though the company is earning profits year on year the terms of net profits increase are not that much higher which the company had earned more in 2020 which was the time of covid.

HCL Sponsors Deal

HCL has announced that it will be sponsoring Dutchess of the Sea, an all-women Dutch team that is going to participate in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge, a transatlantic rowing race. The company sponsorship is mainly because of its commitment to be a sustainable-led business.

The company has also joined Manchester United as its Digital Transformation Partner for their businesses of the digital age. This partnership is for Manchester United and its millions of fans not just for next-generation transformative solutions but also sets a new standard of best practice in the world of business.

The company is generally following its Mode 1-2-3 which is a unique model of business which means Mode 1 is for the offering of core services to the company, Mode 2 is for offering Next Generation Services to the enterprises and Mode 3 is for ready–to–deploy software products and platforms. This is a completely different type of strategy in today’s market conditions and the strategy the clients of the company are increasingly adopting the plan.

HCL Recuritment

The company plans to get more recruits for the company and the company is planning to invest in talent from the USA in the upcoming time. The company plans to create over 12,000 new jobs in the States over the course of the next 5 years. And the company plans to recruit 2,000 graduates over the next 36 months.

The state’s recruitments will focus mainly on North Carolina, California, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Hartford. The company recently announced that the company is going to take part in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting for the second consecutive year running.

As the company is looking forward to its HCL 2030 program, the company is looking to host a series of thought leadership discussions, meetings, and networking receptions over the course of a three-day event.

Recently, the company has signed an agreement for 5 years with Airbus which would help the company in transforming the aerospace firm’s technology supply chain and operating model. This deal would help the company to expand its footprints in the European countries, especially in the counties which include Germany, France, and Spain. The main help for HCL is that it will rapidly simplify the existing IT process and optimization of delivery costs. HCL will establish a modernized digital space that will enhance the user experience and service quality provided to the majority of the Airbus employees.
